Name: Tek'ar Roreth
Nickname: Tek
Alias: Scarab
Home world: Corellia
Looks
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Eyes color: Brown
Skin tone: Pale, White
Height: 5'10”
Weight: 145lbs
Build: Thin, with whipcord muscle around a lean frame
Tattoos: A simple black sleeve of interlocking hexagons that run from the top of his left shoulder down to his elbow
Scars: Two obvious scars running from the center of his neck around almost 180 degrees to the back. Assorted scars and gashes across his left forearm, and numerous more across his body, each with it's own story for sure.
Piercings: None.
Appearance: Outside of his armor, Tek'ar is a completely different person. He has a disarming grin, accented by sharp features. His hair is kept short and clean, and his goatee is trimmed neatly. His eyes have a sharp and intelligent gleam to them, as though the mind behind them is always in motion, and his thin figure moves with a practiced and purposeful grace.
Clothes: Usually dressed in comfortable and stylish clothing, Tek'ar could easily be mistaken for a Corellian businessman, or a very well to-do trader. The clothes are cut and tailored to his size, usually dark greens and muted browns to blacks, and his high collared jacket always hangs a little loose under the shoulders to accommodate whatever blasters or other nasty weapons he's likely hiding.
Personal Details
Personality: Tek'ar is sort of a split personality at times, as he acts completely different when in his suit and on a job, taking on the Bounty Hunter handle Scarab. When just tooling around in his nice clothes and wicked smile, he's friendly, personable, and talkative. He talks with his hands, listens intently, and tends to pay attention to everything going on around him. He remembers names, faces, and minor quirks with an almost photographic precision, and always seems to remember someone he previously talked to and what about. Once inside his armor though, Tek'ar is precise, ruthless, and efficient. His words are clipped and to the point, sometimes to the point of being harsh. Ruthless doesn't translate to being exceedingly violent though. It more translates into him getting the job done as fast and efficiently as possible. If that means killing, then he does so. If a task can be completed without violence? That works too. To Scarab, all that matters is the bottom line.
Force Sensitive?: Negative
Alliance: To each their own.
Guild/Group: The Bounty Hunter Guild
Rank: Member
Strengths: Quick witted, high-tech, and with a dead-eye, Tek'ar is dangerous in or out of his armor. Out of his armor, he's sharp tongued, charming, and fast. In his armor, he has centuries of technology backing him up, and all the tricks that he's installed over his years of hunting. In or out of his armor, he always benefits from his quick reflexes and dead aim.
Weakness/Flaws: Literally leading a double-life of sorts, Tek'ar has issues balancing his job from his normal self. He also follows the Bounty Hunter's Creed to the letter, which has gotten him into trouble with less scrupulous bounty-hunters in the past.
Other Information
Languages: Galactic Basic, Binary, Bocce, Dosh, Durese, Huttese, Rodese, Shyriiwook (Cannot Speak), Sith
History: Growing up on Corellia has caused Tek'ar to become the consummate capitalist. He grew up in a well to do family, free of any physical strife, and yet he still ended up on the gritty path of Bounty Hunting, rather than running the family business. His family still doesn't know what it is that he does, and that's exactly how he wants it. His aging father has retrofitted his company to help the Republic war effort, and his sister is a wildly popular singer, making a big name for herself planet to planet. All the while everyone tends to ignore the freewheeling brother who's really leading two lives. Those few that know much of his past tell of him meeting an older Trandoshan bounty hunter many years back when he was touring the galaxy on his father's credits, and that he disappeared for a few years, returning looking leaner, tougher, and with a wild, dangerous look in his eyes. As for the history of Scarab, he hit the Bounty Hunter Guild shortly after Tek'ar's reappearance , and was initially considered to be just another masked yahoo looking to make a buck and a name for himself. That was until he started showing immediate results. Immediate, efficient, brutal results, all while still adhering to the Bounty Hunter's Creed, which only a few still managed to do anymore. They've taken jobs all over the galaxy, hunting fugitives of both the Empire and the Republic, as well as all manner of big game creatures and horrible city-ravaging monsters. All that has mattered has been the bottom line.
Items His armor, which is a mismatch of different pieces of equipment from all over, all mashed together into what Tek'ar believes is the most efficient use of space, energy, and safety. The helmet covers his entire head, and is a smooth glossy black all the way around, with only a pair of short antennae sticking up from the right side. The chestplate is a a set of interlocking pieces, also of the same glossy black. The rest of his armor tends to follow the same design to some degree, either painted to match the glossy black or to fit in with the dark tan clothing that he wears underneath. One key thing that he tries to keep covered is the fact that his right arm is a cybernetic prosthetic, lost in a story he doesn't feel like telling, but is probably really good. It's framed to look like a human arm under clothing, but when exposed is made of all sorts of exotic metals and inlays, and it's even possible it has a hidden compartment or other tricks. Naturally it doesn't increase his ability to lift things, but grip-strength is an entirely different story.
Force Powers: Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada... unless you count dumb luck, which he tends to have in spades.
Weapons: Model 434 Blaster Pistol x2, the numerous random additions he's made to his armor over the years, from net-guns to rockets, even a few darts and charges for flamethrowers. A good bounty hunter relies on his gear and all of the tricks that comes with it. Disruptor Weaponry is available if he so desires.
